The Pasadena Sail & Power Squadron is located in Pasadena, California. We all share interests in sailing and power boating in Southern California to further the principles of safety on the water, community service, and life-long friendships. Pasadena Sail & Power Squadron is a unit of the United States Power Squadron. The United States Power Squadron is the largest boating organization in the U.S. with about 30,000 members. It was formed in 1914 and is dedicated to making boating safer and more enjoyable by teaching classes in seamanship, navigation and related subjects. The member ship consists of both sail and power boaters. The USPS is a non-profit boating organization. We offer basic boating classes to the general public as well as advanced marine education classes to squadron members. In Febuary 2010 the restriction on membership for advanced grades was removed. USPS will isue non-members a certificate number, which will allow them to take exams under the current procedures. |
